Microsoft Dynamics CRM Demo Tools Issue

Have you been using the cool new demo tools that we developed? I sure have, but I noticed that connecting to Microsoft Dynamics CRM is sometimes not working like it should. After testing, unlike other people that just copy and paste on their blog, I found two possible solutions.

  1. Even though that the domain name is litwareinc, you should give litware a try.
  2. Easiest solution in my mind, just leave it blank.

I think something is hardcoded in the tool and is causing this issue.

Connection: Type: On-Premise
URL: http://localhost:5555
User Name: Administrator
Domain: Leave Blank (Or LITWARE)
Password: pass@word1

Let me know if you still have challenges getting it up and running after this tip.

Hi gyus,

Seems to be a great tool, but unfortunately I am not able do download the package from the MS site - I get permanently the same error with the possibility to transfer the error content to MS, but it happens nothing on the MS site. Can you provide an alternative link for download?

Just on the domain side, i got around this by adding in the Server Name - MOSS and not the domain name.

Ondrej, you're right using URL: http://MOSS:5555 you also should be able to authenticate successful.

I was frustrated because i could not use the tool, and most of the blogs that i searched, as you said, just copy the information from the MS News release, without testing it first. I followed your suggestions and it worked.. thanks a lot

I too am not able to download it from the Microsoft downloads site. I get an IE execute shell has stopped working message after clicking the download button. all other downloads i've tried from the microsoft site work fine. any thoughts?
