The Microsoft CRM Product team in IDC released the Advanced Data Migration Map Editor for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.and it is available on http://www.codeplex.com/mscrmmapeditor under the Microsoft Public License. The tool is extremely useful for people that are dealing with complex migration maps during CRM implementations.

The Map Editor allows users to prepare advanced XML maps needed for migrating data into MSCRM using the Data Migration Manager. This tool enables user to create/edit entity maps, attribute maps, complex transformation maps, and pick list maps, reference maps and user maps.

The User Guide provides detailed information on how to get started with the map editor. The map editor is created as a project in order to develop a community which can actively utilize as well as contribute in enhancing the tool with further improvements down the road.
