Officially not out, thus not yet supported, however I couldn't resist testing Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 and CRM Live with Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1. So far, I haven't encountered any weird issues or behavior. After I downloaded IE8 Beta 1, I downloaded a cool add-on to report web sites that render incorrectly in IE8, I encourage you to do the same and report all incorrect rendered web sites so we can enhance and improve IE8 to be the next best thing since sliced bread!
I love Smiley faces and it is awesome to see that IE8 passes the Acid2 test without a glitch. Even the nose blinks! Take the Acid2 test yourself and see that IE7 and several other browsers will not render the Smiley face correct.
Two great new features that are available in IE8 are WebSlices and web activities. WebSlices bring your favorite pieces of the web with you. WebSlices are portions of a webpage that you can subscribe to and view updates directly from the Favorites bar and with Activities, you can access your services from any web page. Activities simplify the common task of copying, navigating, and pasting into a single action. Just make a selection and click on the Activity button or context menu to view your services.
I see great potential for these two features with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. Just as an example - wouldn't it be amazing to see a Live Map display the address for your account or contact record when selected? What options do you see?
